In 2002 we were asked by a friend who does all-breed rescue to foster a Chocolate Lab who had just been surrendered by his fourth owner!
He arrived at our home underweight, smelly and with the worst ear infection we have ever seen. It didn't take very long to decide to keep this fella. He was a joy to life with.
No dog deserves to be bounced from home to home by people who can't be bothered to take care of him. Nor live in a home with people that don't look out for his well-being.
Changa was a real sweetie who deserved a better life, with better dog owners, during his first seven years.
On May 21, 2008 we said good bye to our dear old fellow. He was over 13 years of age. We miss him dearly. He taught us so much and it is because of him that we ask so many questions of our puppy buyers.
