MUMMY AND ME DANCE
is a Gloucestershire-based business that offers dance and fitness classes for the family.
We all know how important activity is to a healthy lifestyle. The idea of MUMMY and ME is to offer classes where you and your child can have fun and be active together. Modeling is very powerful and when your child sees you being active they realise that activity is for life, not just for when they children. Our parent/child dance classes are fun and fast-paced. They help teach young children the concept of 'a class' - where you follow the directions of a teacher - and work on essential movement skills such as coordination and balance. But the class also provides ample time and opportunity for children to be creative with their own movements. We use a variety of music and props to help inspire little ones to move about in different ways.
Our women's classes offer women of all ages and ability levels a chance to meet and have fun together. With babies in a carrier and older children playing off to the side, women can get a workout without the need for a babysitter.
Whether your child is interested in salsa, jive or creative dance, or if you are looking for a class just for you, MUMMY and ME DANCE is striving to provide quality dance classes for young families

About Me
Owner/Instructor Brenda Cowie is certified teacher and holds a current CRB (criminal record check) certificate. Brenda
has been dancing since she was
4 years old. After decades of training and a short professional career in Musical Theatre, she turned her attention to teaching. For nearly 10 years Brenda taught tap, contemporary jazz and musical theatre in various dance studios to children aged 3 to adult. During that time Brenda also attended university and gained her Bachelor of Education and Professional Teaching Certificate. She then spent over 5 years teaching dance in the High School system. Now, with two little ones of her own, Brenda has turned her attention to working with young children and their mums. She is enjoying the energy and enthusiasm of the classes and loves that she can take her own children to work with her! (At least when they are well-behaved :)
