Creative Dance (called Parents and Wobblers in Tewkesbury)
In this class for little ones, children are introduced to basic movement, coordination and rhythm skills but the real focus is on providing an opportunity for your child to express themselves through movement and have a lot of fun!

Creative Dance class uses a variety of music, dance games, storytelling and props to encourage children to play with movement.  Each session of classes will follow a particular theme (eg. a story, an object or seasonal changes) and introduce skills that will be essential for school like recognising colours and shapes, identifying numbers and letters and using the imagination to tell stories all through movement and dance. In some sessions, t he children will create a short routine to perform during the final lesson.

Parents attend class with their child and help to model movement and encourage imaginative thinking.  Parent perticipation is voluntary; join in when your child needs you, sit and watch when your child is happy to follow along.  This class is suitable for children ages 2 -4 and is 40 minutes in length.

Family -friendly policy - all children welcome!

Creative Yoga
Yoga is a great way to increase strength and flexibility.  In this class, children learn to perform basic yoga poses and start to appreciate the art of stillness.  This is a great opportunity to help your little one learn to slow down and relax while still having fun!  After a short warm-up to stretch the muscles we move onto basci yoga poses.  Most poses are great for children as they imitate animals.  In this class, children use animal yoga poses to help tell a story.
Combining drama and yoga makes this class a big hit with children and parents alike.

This class is aimed for 3-5 year-olds.  Parents are welcome to stay and participate, but if your child is fully toilet-trained and happy to stay on his/her own, then feel free to drop your child off for this 35 min. class.

CLASSES FOR WOMEN

Dance-Fit

This dance-workout is just for women with an emphasis on fun and fitness.  Think Strictly Come Dancing meets Aerobics!  A large part of the class is dedicated to warming up, stretching, and muscle building.  The cardio component is done while learning basic dance steps and combining them into a simple routine.

The dance style will varies each session according to mums' consensus. We offer Salsa, Street Dance, Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Quickstep and more!   Increase your flexibility, muscle tone, and overall fitness while dancing to upbeat music with other women.

Morning Sessions
The morning class is a moderate workout perfect for new mums, older women, and those just getting into (or back into) fitness.  It is a moderate workout that includes muscle-building exercises to protect your back (from lifting your little one all day) and regain your shape (pelvic floor anyone?)  With wee ones snuggled into a baby carrier and older ones keeping amused in the play area, there is no need to look for a childminder - bring the kids with you to class!

All ages and levels of fitness and dance experience are welcome.

Evening Sessions
This class runs in a similar format to the morning class but is at a higher intensity.  One can always opt out of jumping and do a low-impact version, but for those looking for a more intense workout you can look no further!

CLASSES FOR FAMILIES

Jive Bunnies

You’ve seen those fantastic Jive partner moves where they flip and twist and throw their partner in the air – well some of those moves are easy when your partner weighs less than 3 stone!!  This parent-child partner class teaches basic Jive steps and partner moves to you and your young one.

A workout for parent and child this class uses fun moves and great, upbeat music to teach rhythm and coordination.  By taking class together, you are modelling participation, enthusiasm and promoting physical activity as a family early on.

Jive Bunnies is suitable for children aged 3-6 and their parent/care-giver.  If you have 2 children in this age group, why not make it a full family affair?  Mum can partner the little one while dad dances with the older (and heavier) sibling!  J   The special ‘sibling rate’ still applies.
