Checkhov has a beautiful thick coat and by the look of things he has inherited this from his mum Audrey Hepburn z Visnoveho Kvetu, who at almost 8.5 years of age won the Veteran Class at the dog show in Konopišti, under judge: Soltesz Edith (A) yesterday (4th Sept.2011).
I can imagine that her breeder/owner Mrs Marie Vorackova is very proud of her gorgeous old lady.

How time flies. Today Checkhov celebrates his 2nd birthday.
He has received a nice birthday card from his mum Audrey Hepburn z Visnoveho Kvetu
Checkhov's achievements at shows have made his breeder and the owner of his sire so proud that they had him included in the Czech Republic's 1st Borzoi Yearbook. I am so proud.
He also received his certificate 'Permission to Breed' on Saturday at the Brabo Show here in Antwerp, so should anybody wish to use him to cover their bitches please don't hesitate to get in touch.
To celebrate Checkhovs 1st birthday my daughter Penny, her partner Eric and my good friend Frieda were invited to come and eat a slice of birthday cake. Sadly Penny got ill so neither she nor Eric came. Frieda and I enjoyed our strawberry tart as did Checkhov . Frieda brought her beautiful young borzoi bitch Gatchina du Pré du Château with her and the boys really enjoyed themselves vying for her attention. We went to the dog park together and they had a great time, chasing and playing with each other and other dogs.

Introducing my latest addition Captain Cook z Visnoveho Kvetu aka Checkhov.
Checkhov came to Belgium on 7th January 2009 as a pup of 5.5months. My good friend Mirka and her husband Jezus brought him from the Czech Republic for me on their return from their Christmas holidays there.
The day prior to his breeder Mrs Marie Vorackova handing Checkhov over to Mirka, she took him and his brother Carmino for a walk and Checkhov fell 3.5metres into an uncovered hole which had been dug to drain the land. Poor Mrs Vorackova had to call the fire brigade to get him out
