RulesShow management reserves the right to add, delete, combine or change classes for the betterment of the show. Show managment also may make decisions involving conflicts and rule interpretations as they see fit. All decisions of show management are final.
Horses may enter 7 jumping and 12 total classes per show day. A horse must be 3 years old (per coggins) to enter any class with jumps including hunter hack and crossrails.
This is a schooling show. Safety, fun and courtesy are our primary goals. Any act of discourtesy to show officials or management may result in competitor being asked to leave, forfeture of all entry fees paid and being barred from further participation. Your fellow competitors and all horses should be treated with respect as well. USEF rules will be used where New Classic rules to not specifically apply. NCHS management reserves the right to deny entry in classes for which riders and/or horses appear to be unsafe to themselves or others.
No riding double allowed anywhere on the grounds. Please remember that we are guests at a private farm and want to be invited back!
Dogs/Other PetsNo dogs/pets are to be brought to the horse show. They would have to stay in your vehicle which is unsafe and unfair to them.
Stallions
Well mannered stallions allowed in classes #1-#27 but must be handled/ridden by competent non-beginner adults at all times. Stallions may not be tied to trailers and must wear a blue ribbon in their tail.
AttireAn approved helmet meeting ASTM/SEI standards, with chin strap snugly fastened, must be worn by all exhibitors/riders when mounted on the show grounds - no exceptions. ASTM/SEI standards are rider's, parent's and trainer's reponsibility. Show attire is preferred or you may wear chaps, jeans, paddock boots and a polo type shirt with collar. No flat soled shoes, tank tops or t-shirts. Sweaters or jackets are acceptable in appropriate conditions.
TackOnly standard hunter tack is allowed during the horse show.
Standing martingales are allowed in all beginner level classes. Leg wraps or protective boots may be worn in equitation classes only or unless conditions warrant per show management. No running martingales, german martingales, side or draw reins. No flash, drop or figure eight nosebands. No stacked ring, elevator or gag bits. Please ask prior to the start of your class if you are not sure - we will be glad to help you!
Fees: All Hunter and Beginner classes $9.00
Equitation payback classes $10 (payback must be picked up show day)
Office fee per horse/rider combination $10
Friday warmup EMT fee $5/rider, regardless of number horses ridden
Saturday EMT fee $5/rider, regardless of number of horses ridden
Permanent Stalls $30 (includes shavings), Friday arrival no extra fee
Late Entry Fee $10 per combination
Leadline Class - Free to junior riders under 10 not entered in any other class

Stabling: Stalls are reserved on a first come first served basis by calling the registration hotline (770) 435-3820. You will be expected to honor all stalls that you reserve. Stabling is available at 11 am on Friday and departure expected by 9 pm Saturday. Early arrival or late departures must be arranged in advance. A stabling chart will be posted outside the show office near the property entrance.
Awards: Ribbons to 6th place given in all classes
Championship ribbon or sponsor prize in all divisions with 3 entries in all classes
Reserve ribbon or sponsor prize in all divisions with 3 entries in all classes

To qualify for a year end award a horse or rider (equitation, all beginners) must participate in a division 3 times.
