Hi Everybody!

The show year is off to a great start! We somehow stayed dry around all the May thunderstorms at both shows. Our sponsors have outdone themselves with great prizes this year so don't forget to thank them with your business - they help keep showing affordable and fun.

Safety Tips:
We would like to talk about beginner level riders at both hunter and dressage/ct shows. Trainers, you know your entries better than anyone else. Please realistically evaluate the horse/rider combinations you enter in beginner classes/tests. Your choices impact your own rider/horse safety and that of others in the class. Very green horses and horses with known "issues" such as rearing, excessive spooking, etc do not belong in beginner hunter classes or ridden in dressage by inexperienced riders. Horses who "may" kick should be marked with a red ribbon in the tail and their riders instructed to avoid close quarters. Make sure your other riders know what a red ribbon means. Most of you do a wonderful job and the progress/ability of our beginner riders is a credit to you!

Dressage/CT Riders:
Closing date for the June 13th show is Friday the 5th. Entries will continue to be accepted until full.
**Please note, as of yesterday, this show is 3/4 full with more entries expected! Please contact us by return email if you have not sent your entry yet and let us know it's on the way. We will get another dressage ring going if we have enough entries/time. There were folks closed out of the last show because they didn't contact us in time and the day was full.

Hunter Riders:
Don't forget to pre-register by Wednesday before the June 20th show to avoid late fees. You may register on show day but late fees apply. Please let us know you are coming and help your checkbook too!
Your judge will be Hank Bloom of Alpharetta, GA who carries an "r" rating and loves to interact with riders. Always a fun day with Hank around!

Stay cool, avoid the flies and enjoy the warm weather!
