Thank you for supporting our shows and your riders! Many of you have never been close to a horse or attended a horse show before. Here are a few guidelines to help the day run well for all.
- Safety, particularly rider safety, comes before anyone's feelings. Please don't be offended if you are asked to move, discontinue, or change anything by our show staff. We have a reason even if it isn't obvious.
- Non-resident dogs/pets cannot be brought to Watkins Farm. You will be asked to remove your pet as soon as we notice.
- Horses are prey animals. Their instinct makes them jump first and ask questions later. Try to avoid loud, flappy, or strange noises and movements. Running and screaming can put a rider in danger so watch children (and some adults).

-Horses have the right of way. Step well to the side if a horse passes. Do not walk right behind or in front of a horse.
- All body parts (arms, legs, whatever) must stay outside the arenas for rider safety and your own. Please don't sit on arena fences.
- Farms/parks have equipment, chemicals, animals and numerous other potential hazards. All children must be supervised at all times.
- Please drive very slowly inside the farm/park gates. Watch for people, horses, other vehicles, and resident old dogs. Try not to "beep" your vehicle when locking it.
- Many "perfect" parking spots are left open to facilitate horse trailers. Please park only in the areas designated for spectators or handicapped vehicles.
- Chairs, tents, canopies, etc must be kept back from the arena fences. Let a staff member know if you are putting a tent up once the show has started. We will coordinate with the arena to avoid a rider hazard.
We hope this helps make your show day a pleasant one. Thanks again for your support and see you at the shows!
