Welcome!
I have a degree in Art from UC Davis, and I live in Sonoma County with my husband and daughter. I have worked beside a well-known fine artist as well as with a professional wedding photographer, but since the birth of my daughter I have spent more time concentrating on my own career as an artist.
My oil on canvas paintings are inspired by nature and living, the human figure, fashion and design, as well as color and line. I am most influenced by the work of Matisse and Frida Kahlo. I am also influenced by fashion, both vintage and modern.
After having my daughter I was inspired to create custom art for children's rooms. These are acrylic paint on canvas. I feel excited to share the world of art with my daughter and I think it's important to do this for kids starting at a very young age.
My hobby of photography has developed into a love of candid portraiture, once again inspired by my daughter, and my quest to capture her joy and innocence in black and white photography. I love to photograph weddings in the same way, feeling very honored to witness a couple's most cherished day. I do family and maternity portraits as well, also in a photojournalistic style.
