Serowe Village opening event 24th June
The Serowe childrens village is having its official opening on the 24th June. Derek and his team have secured more funding to finalise the houses and our hand made football pitch had to be demolished to make way for two new staff houses. In the spirit of doing what the village wants, not what we want to do Derek has kindly asked that we build another one this year in the 40 degree heat as the children are missing it. Whoopee I can't wait to do that again!
The Project Volunteer house will have a plaque dedicated to the fundraisers from the UK. However we have a further £18,000 to raise (hopefully this year) which will wipe out the bank debt for SOS on our house.
Ball, Party, Fun
We have the ball planned for 11th July 2009 at Holiday Inn Coram Street and it again promises to be as enjoyable as last year. Please come along and support us. It is a fantastic night out and £5 from every ticket goes towards the PV house fund. and the remaining £55, goes towards giving you a fantastic evening. Tickets are now on sale, so contact me via the contact page or on 07974 244023 .

PV Visit Sept 09
We are now taking applications for volunteers to come on our September trip. Please read the archive blog at the bottom of the page to give you an idea of what fun you can have and also the rewards that you will personally gain by assisting with the children. We are having a meeting on Wednesday 20th May in London for you to find out more information. If you are interested please use the contact us section of the website.
Fundraising
This month we will be launching our "Donate a Quid to help a Kid campaign". The idea is to encourage everyone to go online to our just giving website, donate £1 or more and send the link onto as many of their friends as possible. Alternatively if you are feeling generous please click on the link here and give what you can.
