RISLEY HUNGARIAN VIZSLA & DACHSUNDS
Here is a picture of our new arrival Marajo Aoibheann which in Irish means beautiful sheen , she is well named as her coat is gleaming. She is 10 weeks old in this picture.
Marajo Aoibheann

Marajo Aoibheann is 10 weeks old in this picture, she was bred by Mrs C Payton and we are very grateful to Christine who gave us this beautiful baby,,She is due to go to her first show on St Patricks day, which will be very exciting.Teighan as she is known to her friends is a very very outgoing puppy, who is always up to mischief. Her partner in crime is Elnside Naughty But Nice who is now 10 months old,who anwsers to Raisen, she was bred by Mrs McAulay and again we would like to thank Helen for allowing us to have such a beautiful puppy who is a perfect lady and much loved. Raisen will  also be going to her first show soon.
I have always loved miniture dachsunds and decided to get one to show as I am planning for the future when I will no longer be able to show the Vizslas. Both of the dogs are black and tan, as I prefer solid colours rather than parti colours.I have found it difficult getting the feeding right but we now have it under control, although dachsunds are small they will eat the same size of meal as a vizsla and still look for more.We have had all our dogs tested to ensure we know their status, and would only consider using a dog that is clear as we want to improve on our lines and feel that as responsible breeders we need to ensure that we do everything in our power to improve the breed.

Risley Rear of the Year
The puppy in this picture is from the last litter of Risley Vizslas you can  see the quality and type coming  through at such an early age...Diva as she is known is by  Aust Ch Sh Ch Hungargunn Bear I`TN Mind., who is top dog all breeds 2007.Yogi has a wonderfull temperment, and exudes quality and type.
Diva was entered for her first show on 17th March at St Patricks Celtic Winners Show  we  were delighted when she was placed 1st, best puppy and received her first green star at 7 months  of age she also gained the title of Celtic Winner 2008. Our thanks to Ms C Loughlin who started Divas show career  off with a bang. Diva initially was not sure if she liked showing but has now found her feet excuse the pun and loves being the centre of attention.(theres a story to this).
Diva has an outgoing personaity; loves everyone and likes to get up to mischief with her aunties and mum..
Diva was also placed 1st at The combined, South Tipperary and Hibernian show, she has also been placed twice in the puppy group.
We plan to do a repeat mating in December 08 with Yogi as the sire as we are delighted with the offspring the mating produced. The pups will have been introduced to being bathed, ears cleaned, nails trimmed and short car journeys .

We have made this website so that you can share our lives, see our pictures and leave a message in our guestbook. Have fun! I breed Hungarian Vizsla , and miniture Dachsunds. I occasionally have puppies available to select homes. All of my dogs are hip scored, and are bred for quality  type and temprement.  I am happy for people to contact me in relation to any questions they may have about owning a Vizsla or Dachsund. The dachsunds live in the house, and the Vizsla take it in turns to spend time in the house,  all  are house trained, however they tend to prefer being outside, because of this we had a purpose built heated kennel block built  to ensure our dogs are comfortable, they also have access to several large runs and a field behind the house.
All  of our puppies are well socialised, they will be vet checked, microchipped and will come with a Eukanuba  or Royal Canin puppy pack, diet sheet and basic training guidelines. They will be registered with the IKC.
Should you at anytime need to rehome your dog then I insist that it comes back to myself for rehomeing.Generally when people have to rehome animals it is because they are met with changes in circumstances that the dog no longer fits into I therefore prefer to take the dog back and take time to rehome the dog to a suitable person  if that is whats required.

My Vizsla and Dachsunds  have excellent temprements, they are always happy to see people, and mix well with other dogs.I always socialise my puppies from a very early age, as I cannot stress enough the importance of
socialising your puppy  by taking it to various places, events and of course training classes.
All of the Risley puppies come with a puppy contract which will be explained in detail to rospective purchasers, this is to ensure that people are willing and able to meet the criterea enclosed therein.

Previous litter sleeping
As stated previously Ruala whelped on 29th December, 2007, although she was not due to whelp until  1st January, 08. It is important when breeding to care for and feed the expectant mother well, as what you put in is what you get out. All of these puppies are now installed in their new homes. My dogs are fed Eukanuba and Royal Canin, this is supplemented with fish, eggs and chicken. Given the ban on  tail docking in the UK all of the pups will have their tails on, this does not affect their appearance as the Vizsla has always  had two third of their tail  on anyway so you really do not notice any difference in their appearance, whilst with some other breeds the difference will be dramatic. This means should you want to show your dog and were lucky enough to qualify for Crufts then your dog could be exhibited. The puppies dew are always  removed by our vet and all would be vet checked prior to leaving us.
Our puppies are  microchipped between  5/6 weeks. A worming program is carried out regularly with pups being wormed at 3.5.7. and 10 weeks with Panacur wormer or drontal.
We have one 7 month old vizsla puppy male available to the correct home.

Welcome to our website
We are hopefully going to have a litter of puppies in February,09.We are again using Hungargunn Bear I`tn Mind aka Yogi. We already have several people on our waiting list for puppies, all prospective owners shall be sent  a questionairre and upon successful completion we will place the individuals name on our list.

We are looking forward to the remaining shows in 2008 and then a relaxing few months  break before our first show in 2009.
