We have opted for a select range of beautifully crafted and sometimes unusual items. The items are designed with quality in mind and are made of the very best materials, with prices starting from as little as £4.95 we have something for everyone whether it be intended as a gift or a treat for yourself.
What are Delivery Costs? Postage and packaging prices are for UK mainland only - see prices below. Please call if you are purchasing more than one item as we may be able to offer a reduced delivery cost. Due to the size and weight of some items, it may be necessary for some purchases to be collected, by arrangement.
There is usually someone at the shop between 10am and 1pm Monday to Friday but please do contact us (01432 262 827) to check if you are travelling far or if you would like to come outside of these times.
Can I return unwanted items? - Contact us by telephone, letter, fax or email within seven working days after they were received. We will arrange to exchange, or refund the goods providing they are returned in perfect condition, unused and with their original packaging.

Brass Ended Dibber
This Brass Ended Dibber is great for planting bulbs. Push into the ground where you want your bulb to go and drop the bulb in the hole. This one is great because it has a brass end which won't rot from being pushed into wet soil and enters harder soil easier.
We have planted over 40,000 bulbs at Tarrington Court this year and this tool has been invaluable!

Copper Thumb Waterer
The thumb waterer is for watering plants. To use fill up in a bucket or bowl of water. Put your thumb over the top whilst still in the water and keep it there to hold the water in. When you lift your thumb it releases the water which streams out like a shower over your plants.
It is based on a traditional Victorian design. Ours is crafted from specially spun copper which will weather beautifully as you use it. It will make a beautiful original present.

Glazed Wasp Catcher
This is fantastic, especially in the hot weather, when you are eating al fresco.
Remove the cork at the top and add a little honey or jam. Replace the cork and hang it a short distance away from your eating area. The wasps will be attracted by the sweet smell and enter the Wasp Catcher through the hole at the bottom. Once inside they are unable to escape and die blissfully in a pool of jam or honey. Meanwhile you are not bothered while you eat your meal or picnic.

These Cutting Scissors are fantastic!!
Use them to cut a flower and it stays on the scissors and doesn't drop to the floor. Great for reaching over those borders to reach a flower at the back too. Turn the scissors up the other way and they act just like normal scissors. Can be used by both right and left handed people.

White Auricula Pots
A contemporary take on a tradition that goes back to the Regency period, the white pots are made using pure white clay from Hungary to an English traditional design.
They are available in 5 sizes, all with drainage holes in the side, and look very chic planted with auriculas (an alpine primrose with leaves shaped like a bear's ear), herbs, topiary or vivid flowering plants. Equally eyecatching in a modern or traditional setting.

Long Tom Pot
The Long Tom Pot is based on an original terracota pot used for deep rooted plants but brought up-to-date using pure white clay. It is especially useful for growing lilies, sweet peas and other stem rooting plants.

Terracotta Lettuce Forcer
Outdoor lettuces can be covered with a forcing jar or large pot. This will exclude light, provide shelter and encourage growth. This technique is called forcing and it produces earlier, more tasty, white lettuces than those left open to the elements.
Forcing jars make bold features at any time of the year.

Cucumber Straightener
What price will you pay for straight cucumbers in your sandwiches, or for making better shaped crudites? Cucumber straighteners were used by gardeners in Victorian times to please grand estate owners with straight cucumbers.
Place this glass cucumber straightener over your growing cucumbers and it will force it to grow straight. Expensive perhaps but a great treat.

Once outdoor crowns of rhubarb have been exposed to the cold, they can be covered with this forcing pot.
Excluding light and providing shelter will encourage succulent pink stems of sweet tasting rhubarb.

Copper Urn
Big and beautiful and just a bit on the heavy side - we love them, they are gorgeous.
Leave them empty and they still look incredibly attractive or fill them with flowers to compliment their wonderful colour.
With two handles you can get someone to help you move them once they are full. Alternatively put them in position and then fill with soil before planting.
Arrange to come and collect them and look around the 5 acres of gardens at the same time.

This is one of our more expensive items and it is stunning. Made from solid beech with an aluminimum top, it contains three drawers which are perfect for storing vegetables. The base of each drawer has hollow grooves to allow the air to circulate around the vegetables to keep them fresher for longer. Place in a cool dark place or pantry, garage or store room. You can also use it for storing linen to keep it fresh.

Iron Wash Stand
This is one of my personal favourites. This antique looking wash stand is great in the garden.
The fixing under the tap takes a garden hose to allow a sink to be set up anywhere in the garden that your garden hose will reach - at the bottom of the garden to save you having to return in doors, in the potting shed when you need to clean your hands, or to rinse those garden vegetables before taking them into the house. The children could even play with their toys in it close to where you are gardening.
Very attractive and extremely practical. Colours and styles vary as each one is individual.

Everlasting Scarecrow
The photo doesn't really do this item justice. This scarecrow is lifesize standing about 5 feet tall. The feet push into the ground and the stand (coming from the head) pushes into the ground for balance.
You could dress it up in an old hat, scarf, jacket and even some mittens. Alternatively put cd's in the slots for their reflection. The happy smiling face won't scare you or the children but it should certainly put off those birds trying to pinch your raspberries or your new seedlings.
It is very hard wearing and can remain outside all year round.
