Catherine Jago
Meet Catherine

Catherine has been a keen hands-on gardener since she designed her first courtyard garden for RHS Chelsea flower show in 1997.

Since then she has designed two more, in 2002 and 2006, and now has bronze, silver and gold medals.

Even so she considers herself a keen amateur who loves exchanging ideas and experience about garden planting and design with other gardeners.

Her day job is to buy and sell cargoes of oil, but her heart is increasingly in her garden which will be open for the National Garden Scheme (NGS) in 2008 on 5th April when the 40,000 bulbs should be looking spectacular and on 13th September when the grapes in the vineyard should be close to picking.

NGS publish a directory of gardens that open for charity, providing inspiration, relaxation or simply enjoying a delicious home-made tea in a delightful setting.  For more details see the NGS website
