Handmade Gifts
&
Christmas Decorations
This CD-R is full of ideas for Christmas gifts and decorations.
Step-by-step guide with photos to making them.
The credit crunch has made us all think about how commercial Christmas has become, with expensive presents and shiny, non-ecofriendly decorations.
This CD-R will take you back to a time when nature was brought indoors at no expense to decorate the home with soft colours and wonderful scent.
The time when we gave handmade gifts, the personal touch.
Make and give a jar of Spiced Apricots to be eaten with pork, or my favourite, with ice-cream (the spicy syrup poured over, yum!)
Lavender biscuits, Medieval Prune Suckets and Sugared Almonds and a bottle of Elderberry Rob.
Herbal Bath Bags, Hop and Lavender Sleep Pillows, and fragrant Spice Sacks.
A natural wreath or two, swag and orange pomander to scent and decorate your home.
And more!
All made from store cupboard contents, the garden (or that of a friend's) and certainly at very little cost. A list of recommended suppliers for the more unusual ingredients.
Many of these can be made, under supervision, by children (wouldn't Granny love that!) at home or in the classroom.
Many can be made for sale at the School Fair - I can never make enough spice sacks to sell, either as Christmas decorations, to go in the wardrobe or drawer, or even into hubby's trainers!
Make and sell the Lambswool (warm, spiced apple drink from Medieval times) as an alternative to tea and coffee, and why not sell with cones of sugared almonds at the Fayre.
