Treat yourself in the early days with a new baby & for the next few weeks (or get someone else to, much more useful than flowers, suggest to grandparents & in-laws that they buy you a gift voucher)!
Although home help may appear a bit of a luxury, it's actually very cost-effective use of time.
You & your partner get to spend your time with the important stuff like learning to breast feed & catching up on sleep whilst someone else takes care of the practicalities.
You only ever have a new baby once & s/he is tiny for such a short time why not make the most of it ?
