Det eneste jeg ved om min oldemor, Helena Gustafva Johannisdotter født 28 juli 1844, og oldefar, Torpare Carl Danielsson, født 29 januar 1844 er, at de boede tæt ved Vackelsång i Syd Sverige.

My great grandparents Helena Gustafva Johannisdotter, born 28/01/1844 and Carl Johan Danielsson, born 29/01/1844 were living at Vackelsångs Saxagård, Rosendahl, in Southern Sweden.

 My father, Harald Alfred Pedersen, born February 10, 1910 at Ørridslev Mark, Otterup as the second oldest child to Hilda and Marius Pedersen.
He married my mother Elly on January 20. 1935
she died 28/01/1944.

September 25. 1948 he married Emma Ottomine Ellebæk, they had a child together, Maja Solveig Irene Astrup (nee Pedersen)

Alfred and Emma divorced in 1961.

Harald Alfred Pedersen died August 4, 1981

My Mother, Elly Kristiane Pedersen, born at Skalbjerg Mark, in the Tommerup area at Funen, January 12, 1915 to unmarried Amalie Kirstine Pedersen.
The Father's name being Sofus Kristian Nielsen, 

Elly growed up at her grandparent farm at Skalbjerg Mark. 

20 years of age, she married Harald Alfred Pedersen,
They had 6 boys together, before she died on January 28. 1944 of diphtheria.

The children were:

Denmark were still occupied by the Germans, at the time Elly died, and due to Alfred's involment in the under-ground resistance movement at the time, it were decided that the boys should in fostercare at families homes, for not be sent to a Government run childrens home. 

NOTICE: as the youngest at 4 months of age, Leif were adopted away to a childless couple in Odense, and he got their surname Rasmussen, but he was born a Pedersen.
The other brothers, were in contact with each other, through their upgrowing, even they were living in different homes, but they did not had any contact with Leif  for the next 43 years. A reunion of all 6 boys, took place in 1987, when Jon was in Denmark on holiday, were he contacted Leif, and a reunion were organised.
 

 As mentioned under my mothers section, the 6 brothers were all reunited at a meeting at Skandia hotel in Odense in 1987. It was the first time in 43 years, that we all regained contact with the youngest brother Leif.

It became an emotional event, which also included our spouses.
We had dinner together in a private dining room from 6 o'clock to midnight, where we got to know each other by
telling how our life had been.
The evening were so successful, that it were decided to keep the contact. What since has happend many times on a regular basis, where our sister and her husband also is involved. - of course, - us living "Down Under" do miss out a lot of the times, due to the distance, but we are keept well informed about what's going on.

 

Maja Solveig Irene Astrup (nee Ellebæk) were born 22 December 1947 to Emma Ellebæk and our father, Alfred Pedersen
They married 25 September 1948, but divorced in May 1961
Maja is married to Frank Astrup and they are living close to the Danish/German border.

My Grandmother, Amalie Kirstine Pedersen, born at Skalbjerg Mark, Vissenbjerg Council, on July 15, 1895 to farmer Anders Frederik Pedersen and Ane Pedersen

Amalie married Peter Mourits Helverskov Pedersen on April 5, 1919
Mourits Pedersen as he were called, was born at Ryttergade 21 Odense on November 25, 1891 to
Hans Mourits Pedersen and Dorthea Kirstine Thomsen

Died 15th. January 1937.
Daughter of farmer Jens Nielsen and Birthe Kirstine Thorsdatter.
