Pieter was born on 23 September 1964 in Germiston, South Africa, grew up in Brits, about 80 km north west of Pretoria.

I have 2 brothers, Francois - Dentist in Roodepoort and Gerard - Avocado Farmer / Electrical Contractor in Tzaneen, and 2 sisters, Amanda - Oral Hygenist in Vredendal and Marinda - Accountant/Entrepeneur in Roodepoort, whom are all residing in South Africa.

My parents lived in Brits for 18 years where my Dad was Chief Electrical Engineer at Eskom. They moved to Kuruman in the Northern Cape in 1980, when my Dad decided to do dairy farming. During this time I was in school in HTS Wolmaransstad, where I matriculated in 1982. I studied at Pretoria Technikon and obtained my National Diploma in Quantity Surveying in 1987. My parents are both retired at present living in Krugersdorp since 1990.

I worked as a Quantity Surveyor for a few construction companies in Johannesburg, RSA from 1989 to 1999, in Gaborone, Botswana from 1999 to 2004, in Dubai, UAE from 2004 to 2007, and is currently working as a Commercial Manager in Bahrain for a large construction company since June 2007. The saying goes ... join a construction company and see the world.
 
I met my wife, Sonja, whom I dearly love, in 1992 and got married to her 6 months later, and have never been happier ever since.  

Sonja was born on 12 December 1967 in Johannesburg,  South Africa, grew up in Witpoortjie ~ Roodepoort, Gauteng.

I have only one brother, Coenraad - Interior Decorater in Johannesburg ~ South Africa.

My parents are living in Witpoortjie since 1970. My Dad, Piet van Huysteen used to work for the South African Railways all his years and is now retired. My Mom, Lauretta van Huysteen ~ Maiden name: Gerber was working for Trust Bank now called ABSA, she is still working as an accountant for a upmarket Boutique in Cresta.

I worked as an Bank Teller & Teller Controller for ABSA & Nedcor in South Africa.  In Gaborone, Botswana I was a mother to our 2 beautiful children and on the side-line I was marketing Smile Educational Toys.  In Dubai, I had my own business, Smile Education UAE for 3 years, business was not so hot. Just before we moved to Bahrain, I gave away most of my unsold stock for charitty to various institutions. Now I am just a mother to the KuyperClan household again and still needs to explore all the Coffee Shops & Malls in Bahrain with my new friends ... and like my hubby would say ... marry a man in the construction industry and see the world ... wonder where our next destination will be ... hopefully we will be in the Middle East for the next 5 to 10 years and then return back to South Africa, but who knows... 
 
Pieter, my hubby, my one and only friend, whom I dearly love, we got married in February 1993. I have never been happier ever since. He really takes good care of us, his family.  

Gerard was born on 10 March 1994 in Garden City Clinic, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.
 
I started nursery school at Secret Garden Nursery School in Gaborone, Botswana, then move on to big school at Thornhill Primary School in Gaborone, Botswana, was in primary and middle school in  Emirates International School , Dubai, and have just started year 8 in November 2007 at my new school, British School of Bahrain  in Bahrain. I also love to play internet games on my desktop and also like to play with my playstation.  I am a real computer whizz... and love to search the internet and learn more about computers, if something goes wrong on Mamma Sonja's computer I can always fix it, ha ha ha ... I just love computers.  I also play soccer, I played at  Manchester United Soccer School , in Dubai and here in Bahrain I play at The Bahrain Rugby Football Club , we practice every Thursday afternoon.    

Sonique was born on 4 December 1996 in Wilgeheuwel Hospital, Roodepoort, South Africa.

I started nursery school at Secret Garden Nursery School in Gaborone, Botswana, then move on to big school at Thornhill Primary School in Gaborone, Botswana, was in primary and middle school in  Emirates International School , Dubai.  I have just started grade 6 in September 2007 at Nadeen International School, I just love my new school and friends. I will be moving to year 5 at British School of Bahrain in Bahrain in January 2008.  I just LOVE to watch TV all day and play with my dog, Maxi.  I don't fancy doing homework ... it is much better to play and run outside.  I love sport ... I am a good soccer and basketball player, I also play netball here in Bahrain at The Bahrain Rugby Football Club, it is fun, I play in the Sweet and Sour Team, we practice on Saturdays and play matches on Thursday afternoons.  My new music Teacher thinks that I've got a lovely voice, I have also started singing lessons ... and who knows maybe I will be on stage soon, will keep you posted about my singing career ...
