The conference "Børsen IT Value" will be held in the Copenhagen Bella Center on the 14th and 15th May 2014. SimpleSite will present the session "International Growth for Digital Business Models" that features speakers from some of today’s most interesting digital growth companies.

The founders of Trustpilot, Smartguy, Falcon Social and SimpleSite will explain how they have created significant international growth and attracted millions in venture capital. Amongst other things, their results have been achieved via hard work and by having a scalable business model.

At the conference the speakers will share their experiences about questions like: “How can a good idea move forward to become a growing digital business?” and “How can you achieve an international breakthrough without having local employees abroad?” This two hour session is on Thursday, May 15th at 10 AM.

Morten Elk

CEO of SimpleSite

Morten Elk founded 123hjemmeside (SimpleSite) in 2003. Today the company has over 75.000 customers world wide that are using this easy to use website builder. In 2013 the company’s turnover increased by over 30%. Morten Elk also created one of the first digital advertising agencies in Denmark - today known as Creuna. Morten has a PhD in physics.

Peter Holten Mühlmann

CEO of Trustpilot

Peter Holten Mühlmann founded Trustpilot in 2007. Since then Peter Holten Mühlmann has raised over 200 million DKK in venture capital for Trustpilot. Trustpilot is an online service that lets users rate and review companies they have used. Trustpilot won Ernst & Young’s 2013 "Entrepreneur of the year" award in the category “Start-up”.

Nicolai Kærgaard

Director of Business Development at SmartGuy A/S

Founded the online clothes store SmartGuy in 2000. SmartGuy has been awarded the Børsen Gazelle Company prize four times. Nicolai Kærgaard has experience from a number of IT companies, where his main focus was business development, financing, sales and marketing. SmartGuy was listed on Nasdaq OMX i 2012.

Ulrik Bo Larsen

CEO of Falcon Social

Co-founded Falcon Social in 2010 and raised 45 million DKK in venture capital for the company in the summer of 2013. The company grew from 16 to 100 employees in 2013 and the number of subscribers grew by 600%. Their turnover is international and the company’s goal is to become a leading global market player within its field.


Tine Thygesen

CEO of Everplaces

Co-founder and a board member of Founders House. Co-founder and CEO of Everplaces, which Fast Company labelled as the “Pinterest for places”. Tine Thygesen was on the "Top 100 Women in Tech in Europe" 2012 list and is a popular speaker at conferences focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and strategies for mobile platforms.
